Michael Head

MICHAEL HEAD

Michael is a critically acclaimed and award-winning actor, director and playwright/screenwriter and is the Writer and Director of ‘Bermondsey Tales: Fall Of The Roman Empire



Michael was born and bread in Bermondsey and trained at the Miskin Theatre and London School Of Musical Theatre. Michael turned his hand to writing and producing setting up his company The London Academy Of Performing Arts with a view of giving working class talent a chance to shine in a very difficult and somewhat elitist industry.


Michael has worked as a playwright, theatre director and producer for over ten years. Michael’s work includes sell out runs of The Greater Game, Worth A Flutter, Time and The Sword and The Dope. As well as achieving commercial success in his work, Michael’s work was also subject to much critical acclaim as well as winning a number of awards.


As a playwright Michael was fortunate to work with a number of great actors including, James Phelps, Danny Mays, Neil Dudgeon, Michael Greco, Charlie Clements, Danny Walters, Adel Silva, Nick Hancock and many more.

In 2022 Michael got asked to adapt his first screenplay from the play Time after a sold out run in the West End. This film become The Last Heist starring Terry Stone, Sam Gittens, Emily Wyatt and Perry Benson as well as Michael and Dan O’Rielly who both kept there parts from the play.

The Last Heist went on to great commercial success including being the number one selling UK crime film of 2022 and topping both the Amazon and iTunes charts. The Last Heist also went on to win a number of awards.

Michael has since worked with BAFTA winning director Ray Burdis co-writing Miss The Kiss starring John Hannah, Patsy Kensit, Sadie Frost, Michelle Collins, Perry Benson, Vas Blackwood and many others.

Following this Michael was delighted to join Seraphim Film Productions and work on Bermondsey Tales, which as well as being written by Michael is also his directing debut. Bermondsey Tales has a fantastic cast including BAFTA winning actor, Adam Deacon, John Hannah, Maisie Smith, Frank Harper, Linda Robson and Alan Ford.

Michael is looking forward to the release of Bermondsey Tales: Fall Of The Roman Empire and working with Seraphim Film Productions.
